Description:
Vajrasattva,
Bodhisattva of Purification
This
beautiful antique (approximately 150 years) is decorated
with semiprecious turquoise. Vajrasattva, the Bodhisattva
of purification, holds Vajra (thunderbolt, symbolic
of tantric male power that can remove all obstacles)
and the Vajra bell (symbolic of female tantra power,
compassion and emptiness). Vajrasattva represents wisdom
and purity and overcomes obstacles, including dark karma.
Vajrasattva's mantra is the famous one hundred syllable
mantra. Vajrasattva sits in the lotus position and is
crowned elaborately. He sits on a lotus base (one piece)
and is extensively jeweled with earrings, necklaces
and crown. The face is very peaceful and beautiful.
Highly detailed.
