Qing dynasty cast iron standing Boddhisattva. Dizang (skt. Kshitigarbha), the Boddhisattva who saves souls from the torments of hell. In traditional form dressed as a monk with shaven pate and carrying a monk's staff and wish granting jewel (jewel lost, staff a replacement). No major losses with the exception of jewel and staff. Interior encrustation and corrosion, some conservation including removal of exterior encrustation and a removable corrosion preventative coating. Some chips to base.
Size is 20" height x 6" width x 7" depth.
